I can't imagine wearing a full coverage bra in the summer. With multiple heat waves coming to Vancouver, it is unfair to suffocate the girls. Lace bralettes are perfect for summer! Let them breathe! Lacey triangle bras are fun! It is lightweight and looks good with so many things. The question then becomes, how much skin is too much skin? How to wear a lace bralette without showing too much skin?
I found these adorable dainty bralettes from Urban Outfitters and Anthropologie the other day and I can't stop wearing them. They are so comfortable and looks great under plain tees and button up shirts. Pair with distressed jeans for a laid back, effortless Cali-girl look. Lace bralette are feminine. The all over floral design is romantic with scallop lace edges with a thin adjustable strap.
Sheer nylon-lycra lace, adjustable straps, unlined cups, and hook-and-eye closure.
How to style your bralette without showing too much skin:
- With your favorite tee. The lace triangle bra should just peek out. Wear with a relaxed white tee and have the color showing thru slightly. Or have a dark color tee and have ¼ inch of the top bralette showing for that extra sass.
- Sheer tops and blouse. Let the silhouette of your body showing. Use discretion if your top is too see-through. Dark fabric bralettes may be too much. Mesh bralette may be a better choice.
- With button up shirts / blouses. Just a peek of the bralette is really sexy.
- V Neck dresses. Option for a bralette with interesting details in the middle.
